Its personal. The Executive Leaders’ mandate continues to be weighty in delivering organization goals regardless of economic turbulence and uncertainty. In such times peers are often equally occupied with navigating their own uncharted waters with its unique and evolving leadership challenges. Despite this, growth and transformation remain essential to personal well-being and effectiveness and ultimately to business continuity and facing the future with confidence.

BCA Zambia is offering an exclusive program designed for leaders to connect with executive peers to do just this: think ahead of business landscape scenarios and consider how to build the mental, psychological and leadership resilience with strategic foresight. This program addresses selective topics that direct leaders to being purposeful, adopting systems thinking in increasingly complex environments, garnering psychological resources to be fully present as a leader a rapidly evolving blended workplace and digital world.

The program is designed for provocative discussion, effective reflection, resolving business challenges and decision-making through peer support, and self-challenge and growth. Every session includes an opportunity to set accountability goals.

Sonny Zulu

CEO/Managing Director,
Standard Chartered Bank Zambia Plc.

Sonny is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Standard Chartered Bank Zambia Plc. Prior to this role, Sonny was the Head and Managing Director of the Consumer, Private and Business Banking business at Standard Chartered Bank, UAE. Sonny also served as the Regional Head of Strategic Transformation, Alliance and Performance Management for Africa and the Middle East at Standard Chartered Bank. Before relocating to Dubai, Sonny was the Head of Retail Banking for Standard Chartered Bank Zambia and Southern Africa. He took up senior leadership responsibilities at a very young age and he has held a number of senior executive roles in the Bank which included Head of Retail Clients, General Manager for Distribution for Zambia and Southern Africa and Head of Corporate Affairs.
As an entrepreneur, Sonny is a joint owner of Air Mafuta Aviation services. Sonny holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and he has a degree in Metallurgy and Mineral Processing from the University of Zambia. As part of his personal development, Sonny has completed several executive programmes at Oxford University in the United Kingdom, Duke Corporate Education in Singapore and INSEAD in Singapore.

Monica Musonda

Founder & CEO at Java Foods

Monica Musonda is a Zambian businesswoman, lawyer, and entrepreneur. She resigned from a successful corporate law career to start and lead Java Foods Limited, a food-processing company based in Zambia, where she serves as CEO. Monica is a dual-qualified English Solicitor and Zambian Advocate, holding an LLB from the University of Zambia and an LLM from the University of London. She began her legal career at Clifford Chance in London, later becoming a partner at Edward Nathan in South Africa. She moved to Washington, D.C., as the in-house general counsel at the International Finance Corporation (World Bank), before joining the Dangote Group as Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs. Inspired by a conversation with Aliko Dangote, she launched Java Foods in 2012.

Monica has been involved in several boards, including Airtel Networks Zambia, Zambia Sugar, and Dangote Industries Zambia. She was appointed to the CAF Governance and Ethics Committee in 2019 and serves on the jury of the Cartier Women’s Initiative. Monica is a Young Global Leader, Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellow, and TEDx speaker. She has received various entrepreneurship awards and has completed leadership programs at Harvard, Oxford, and IMD Business School

Kennedy Mwila

CEO of Tobacco Board of Zambia

Kennedy Mwila is an award-winning executive with over 20 years of leadership experience spanning the private and public sectors. He has successfully led organizations across manufacturing, financial services, regulatory bodies, and economic zones, including serving as Managing Director of Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone (LSMFEZ) and Executive Director at the Tobacco Board of Zambia. During his tenure at LSMFEZ, Kennedy transformed the organization from a loss-making entity to a profitable enterprise, increasing its investment portfolio from USD 340 million to over USD 1.5 billion. Kennedy's achievements have earned him several accolades, including the World Leader Business Person of the Year (2023) by the BIZZ Awards, the European Quality Award (2023) by the Socrates Committee, and recognition as one of Africa’s Top 25 Trade and Investments Promotion Leaders (2024) by Africa Leadership Magazine. He also received an honorary resolution from the State of South Carolina House of Representatives in 2024.
Kennedy holds a Master’s in Business Administration (International Business) from Edith Cowan University and a Master’s of Financial Controls from the International Academy of Financial Management. He is a Fellow of both CIMA and ZICA, a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and a member of AICPA and ZIOD. An advocate for corporate governance, Kennedy has served on multiple public and private boards since 2013

Nankhonde Kasonde van den Broek

Founder Zanga African Metrics

Nankhonde Kasonde-van den Broek is an award-winning Executive Coach and Organizational Change Architect, and the Founder & CEO of ZANGA African Metrics. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked with multinational corporations, international organizations, and governments, leading large-scale change initiatives across various sectors. Nankhonde has been recognized with the Thinkers50 Marshall Goldsmith Coaching & Mentoring Award (2021) and named a Coaching Legend by Thinkers50 in 2023. She is a member of the Africa List and was ranked among the World’s Top 30 Coaches to Watch by the Global Guru initiative. In addition to her executive coaching practice, Nankhonde serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Chandler Institute of Governance in Singapore and is involved with the World Health Organization’s Leadership Development Programme for senior Ministry of Health officials across Africa. She holds an Executive MSc in Change Leadership from HEC Paris and Oxford University, an MBA from the African Institute of Management, and an MSc in Management from the University of Quebec. She is an accredited Trainer, Assessor, and Examiner by TEVETA Zambia and sits on 2 Zambian corporate boards and one international board.

Mumbi Mwila

Human Resource Director

Bank of Zambia

Mumbi Kandeke Mwila is an accomplished Human Resources professional with over 19 years of experience leading HR programs for large organizations. She currently serves as the Human Resources Director at the Bank of Zambia and has previously held senior roles at Zambia National Commercial Bank (Zanaco), Airtel Zambia, Airtel Africa, and Atlas Mara. Mumbi has also provided HR support and training in countries across Africa, including Kenya, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Malawi, and Madagascar.

A graduate of Harvard Business School's General Management Program, Mumbi also holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science with Education. She is a Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management and a Certified International Business Leader (CIBL).

Mumbi is passionate about people development, leadership, and aligning HR strategies with business goals. She has coached and mentored many individuals and has led initiatives in HR transformation, performance management, and culture change. As People and Culture Committee Chairperson for World Vision Zambia, she has played a significant role in shaping HR strategies to improve organizational performance

Mara Zhanet Michelo

Founder & CEO Jacaranda Hub

Mara Zhanet is a seasoned social entrepreneur, business development expert, and ecosystem builder with over 16 years of professional experience. She is the Founder & CEO of Jacaranda Hub, an organization focused on empowering young entrepreneurs by providing access to shared services, infrastructure, and specialized tools to help them grow and scale their MSMEs. Mara is also the CEO and a shareholder of Nkwasho Agro Processing, a poultry processing facility based in Northwestern Province, which contributes to local economic development and job creation.

In addition to her entrepreneurial work, Mara is an active leader in the social impact space. She serves on several influential boards, including the Smart Zambia Institute Tender Board, Play It Forward UK Charity (which implements social impact projects in Livingstone), and the United Blockchain Association. Mara is passionate about digital transformation, youth empowerment, and sustainable development, and she works to create opportunities for innovation and growth in both local and regional markets. A mentor and coach, she is deeply committed to fostering the next generation of business leaders and changemakers across Africa.

Dr Walubita Siyanga

Global Entrepreneur, Author, Senior Pastor and Business Consultant

Dr. Siyanga is a Global Entrepreneur, Author, Senior Pastor, and Business Consultant. He is the Founder of Diadem Human Capital Solutions (operating in Zambia, Canada, and the USA) and has authored over 100 books on Finance, Faith, and Family. Dr. Siyanga is the Senior Pastor in charge of Ministries at Tabernacle of Power & Praise Ministries International. As an online business consultant, he mentors over 20,000 individuals globally. He is also the Founder of the Diadem Marriage Counselling Centre in Lusaka, Zambia, and serves as an HR Consultant at Talent Hub Zambia. In addition to his entrepreneurial and pastoral work, Dr. Siyanga is an accredited Life Coach, counselor, corporate trainer, and social activist. He has vast experience in the social enterprise sector and is a well-known television and radio personality. Dr. Siyanga is the Chief Executive Officer and Lead Expert at Diadem Human Capital Solutions Zambia

Daisy Kopolo

Daisy has over 30years experience in business development having led organizational teams in driving business and market growth in both local and international public and private sector organizations. She has multidisciplinary executive and board experience from work in logistics and supply chain management, international development agency work, professional accountancy development work and financial services.

Daisy's work experience has spanned Southern African markets for which she had market development headship and from Johannesburg, SA and eventually global strategic relationships oversight when she worked for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, ACCA. She has also been a key driver of Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability Reporting, a thought leadership agenda that is increasingly becoming a competitive differentiator of businesses across Africa. Daisy founded Platinum Black, a coaching, training and consulting business as the vehicle to drive her Africa leadership development passion. She is also currently serving as a member of the National Olympics Committee Marketing Commission, Membership Committee of the Institute of Directors, Trustee of Grace Ministries Mission and as Vice-Chairperson of a newly established Clean Cities InitiativeDaisy, holds a MPhil of Management Coaching from Stellenbosch University, MA in Marketing from the University of Central England (now Birmingham City University) and a MBA from the Heriot -Watt University.

Miriam von Borcke Matutu

Miriam is a Transformation Coach and Consultant with over 20 years of experience in the development sector. She has worked in NGOs, Intergovernmental Organizations, and as a UNHCR consultant, focusing on capacity building in health and education while serving as Country Director for Comundo in Zambia until March 2023.

In April 2023, she founded Trawell Coaching, where she offers leadership and transformation coaching to individuals and organizations, collaborating with partners like BCA Leadership and Extend Care & Consultancy.

Miriam holds an MA in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of Geneva, a degree in education, and a post-graduate certificate in coaching from the Pretoria Centre for Work-Based Learning. As certified trauma-informed coach and consultant, she specializes in facilitating courageous conversations and holistic explorations. Her expertise includes besides intercultural communication, education, capacity building, international development, program design, and supporting multicultural teams in achieving their full potential.
